Dipylidiosis

Dipylidiosis is a common tapeworm infection of dogs and cats caused by Dipylidium caninum. Transmission occurs through ingestion of fleas infected with larval cysticercoids. Intermediate Host are Fleas of the Pulexand Ctenocephalides species ( canis and C. felis respectively) and occasionally, the dog louse (Trichodectes canis).
