Corynebacterium is Gram-positive and aerobic bacteria. They are bacilli, and in some phases of life they are, more particularly, club-shaped. Arrangement in Chinese letter like (V, Y and L). It causes disease condition like caseous lymphadenitis in sheep and goat, ulcerative lyphangitis in horse.
Rhodococcus equi was first recognized as a zoonotic pathogen. Gram positive Bacilli or Cocci ( Two distinct morphology), Aerobic, Non motile, Non-spore forming, Capsulated and Pigment production, Easily cultured in nonselective media.
