Surgery of oral cavity and oropharynx are;
- Maxillectomy – Removal of portion of maxilla.
- Mandibulectomy – Removal of portion of mandible.
- Glossectomy – excision of a portion of tongue.
- Cheiloplasty – used to alter the shape of lips, generally to reduce drooling.
- Tonsillectomy – surgical procedures performed to remove the tonsils.
- Pharyngotomy – The operation of making an incision into the pharynx, to remove a tumour or anything that obstructs the passage.
