Pox means ulcer, it is double stranded DNA virus, brick shape, enveloped, complex symmetry, 300 nm in size, it having linear genome site of replication is cytoplasm. Virus produce pock lesion in cultivation during embryonated eggs. It causes lumpy skin disease of cattle, bovine papular stomatitis, pustular dermatitis.
