Corneal ulcer or ulcerative keratitis

Cornea is the transparent, avascular, anterior portion of the outer fibrous coat of the eye.

  • Its thickness is usually between 0.5 and 0.8 mm.
  • Corneal ulcer is any keratopathy in which there is loss of epithelium.
  • Ulcerative keratitis is inflammation associated with corneal ulceration.
